Enter Gish. You are a gelatinous blob with the ability to control your physical properties, and your current purpose is to track down the evil that took your girlfriend and punish it. You see a freaky little beast with gigantic teeth... you toughen up and steam-roll it into the wall. You see a path blocked by a pit of lava, so you hunt down a switch or stuff to toss into the lava to hop on. This is the world of the inventive game “Gish”.
Gish is an independently developed game hosted by Chronic Logic. It puts you in the body of Gish, if you could call the gelatinous ball of tar that Gish is a body. Your goal is to navigate various levels to save your girlfriend, Brea who has been captured. These levels are full of traps, puzzling mechanics, evil creatures, and secrets. This game was a finalist for the 2004 Independent Game Festival, and for a good reason. It is a very unique platform game that attempts to break from the mold that recent games have fallen into. The fact that it's a PC platform game even breaks from it, but it adds to the mix 3D graphics, shadows, and a fantastic physics engine.
