Throughout the years digital cameras seem to be progressing more and more towards the same image quality as a 35mm camera. The Toshiba PDR-M70 took another step forward when it was released in 2000. Even today this camera can still compete with the best of them, providing its user with all of the “bells and whistles” that a photographer is looking for in today’s market. We will take a closer look into what makes this a quality camera even though it is 4 years old. What’s included?
The one thing that the PDR-M70 didn't come with, and I am not sure what they were thinking, was a lens cap. Although the main lens is a motorized lens, it is still very opened to be scratched or damaged. It was nice to see that Toshiba decided to include a lithium-ion rechargeable battery, but the downfall to this is that it had to be charged in the camera, instead of in a separate charger. I also found that the shoulder strap that was included was a bit of a problem because it tended to get caught on everything when I was carrying the camera around. I also found the included case to be lacking in padding so I it with a larger more padded case.
