Last week we reviewed Brando's optical USB mouse that has two USB ports on its USB input hub and it garnereda lot of attention. Similarly, when we reviewed Brando's SATA/IDE to USB 2.0 conversion cable it was featured on Gizmodo. So in continuing with more interesting product reviews we are taking a look at Brando's USB Skype Phone. This Skype phone can be purchased on Brando's site for $34USD which is about half the price of Linksys' wireless skype phone. This product is very attractive because of Skype's free Skype-out service for the USA and Canada until the end of this year. Unless, of course, you don't live in North America. The phone comes packaged in a simple hard plastic casing. The back of the package features a labeled diagram of the phone as well as a list of its features. Some of the main features the phone has is USB 2.0 support, backlit LCD display, and noise reduction technology.
The phone is a all-in-one unit and comes with a small software CD. The phone measures 150x20x38mm (LxWxH) which is about the standard size for a land-based phone. The phone is very light weight and feels kind of fragile. On the right side of the phone there is a mute button. Its functionality is self explanatory. On left side of the unit there are volume controls to adjust the output volume of the phone's speaker.
