After Sony's appearance at E3 last night, it's Nintendo's turn at the mic. Stay tuned to this page because we will be continuously updating it with all of the latest information released at Nintendo's press conference. Be the first to know any big surprises that Nintendo throws at us!

11:40 - Page Launch
Stay tuned as we provide instant updates on Nintendo's latest.

12:11 - Stay Tuned

A slight delay has been reported. Hopefully the event won't start too far after 12:30 (9:30PST).

12:29 - Almost there!
It looks like things should be starting on time. Everyone appears to be seated, so lets get this party started!

12:33 - There goes the on-time thing
9:30 PST has come and gone. Hopefully we aren't waiting around for another hour like we had to yesterday...

12:37 - Here we go!

Things have started. We have an nice musical composition of Zelda music playing for us. We were also shown two people using the Wii controllers in an apparent sword fighting game.

12:41 - Demo reel
Now they are playing a video for us of people using the Wii for various things like playing the drums, playing tennis, racing cars, and composing music.

12:42 - The new Mario!

12:44 - Wario Wii?

Images of what looked to be WarioWii flashed just now.

12:47 - Whew
Ok. Things have slowed down a bit. Now Nintendo is explaining their vision behind the Wii, the reasoning behind the name, and who their target audience is (as if we don't already know).

12:50 - We will be playing Wii in Q4 of 2006
Nintendo announced this. They are now poking fun at themselves over the Wii name. They know the negative reaction the Wii name received. They compare the name to Lexus or Google's name.

12:55 Zelda: Twilight Princess Confirmed for Wii Launch

Movement controlled by control stick. Sword swings using B- button on bottom of remote. Bow is aimed using pointer on remote. Nintendo also reveals the speaker on their remote. The remote will give off the sound of the bow being pulled back and when the arrow is fired the sound then moves to the television. The player can also make Link shield smash an enemy by quicking jabbing the Wii remote.

1:02 - Two versions of Zelda: Twilight Princess
One version for Wii and one for Gamecube. Both released on the same day as the launch of the Wii.

1:05 - More game screen shots.
The name of the game is in the bottom of each screen. Nintendo annouced 27 playable games at E3. These are not confirmed for launch though.

1:08 - Red Steel
Uses nunchuck left-hand controller to move, right controller aims the gun as you would assume. The person playing the game is showing off the reactive environment by shooting everything. Lights explode, glass breaks, material fragments. It looks great! You can disarm enemies and make them submit by telling them to get on the ground. This is done by simply motioning your gun hand downwards. There is also sword fighting in the game as shown below.

1:17PM - Wii is done for now. Touch generations announced.

Nintendo is announcing Touch generation games for non-gamers. Popular games like Sudoko will be included.

1:20 PM - Final Fantasy 3 announced for DS

That's right. They went back in time and made it for the DS.

Also announced for the DS is Mario hoops 3-on-3, Starfox DS, New Super Mario Bros., Elite Beat Agents, Yoshi's Island 2, Pokemon Mystery Dugeon, Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass.

1:29PM - Wii Connect 24

Nintendo annouces Wii Connect 24. Basically it seems that Nintendo intends for the Wii to easily be left on all of the time claiming it will use very little energy when not being used. By leaving the Wii on it is always connected to the internet so games can be updated regularly and friends can send you messages at any time (even during the night) and when you wake up the Wii is instantly on and ready to use.

1:36 - First person to ever play Wii!

Scott is a lucky lucky man. He gets to play the Wii tennis game with the legend himself.

1:41PM - That's all folks
Wow. I need to catch my breath but sadly the conference is over and there has been no release date nor pricing announcement regarding the Wii. Be sure to stay tuned for our thoughts on Nintendo's showing.
