Today at BFR we are very excited as we have our first review of OCZ memory and it's non other than 1GB of their Gold DDR400 high performance memory. OCZ needs little introduction as they are amongst the industry leaders in producing enthusiast memory solutions. Here is a timeline of their product releases over the past three years (this is straight from their website so forgive any PR fluff):

You can see that shortly after they "opened their doors" for business in 02' they wasted little time in introducing their DDR400 memory putting them right in the thick of things.

Three years later here we are with 1GB of their Gold DDR400 dual channel memory ready for interrogation. It is important to note that this is not the VX (Voltage eXtreme) version of memory, just the regular Gold DDR400 memory. However, while it's not high voltage, it does come with some extremely tight 2-2-2-5 timings right out of the packaging. So what's the difference between the VX and non-VX memory? We'll explain that on the next page.
